Job Description

Bensons is a leading UK designer and manufacturer of bespoke and high-quality electrical control panels and systems. We are trusted by companies in a diverse range of industries throughout the World, to support our ongoing development and growth we are looking to recruit a reliable and proactive Delivery Driver and Stores Assistant to support our delivery and stores operations. The role involves both driving and warehouse duties, ensuring goods are packed and transported safely and efficiently while contributing to the smooth running of the stores area.

Key Responsibilities



Carry out local deliveries and collections in accordance with planned schedules. Undertake occasional longer delivery runs (e.g. London, Glasgow) as required using company vehicles. Ensure all items that are being shipped are suitable prepped and packaged for despatch as well as being are safely and securely loaded onto company/hauliers vehicles. Handle goods with care, ensuring safe loading, unloading, and transport practices at all times. Assist in stores operations, including goods-in processing, stock movement, and accurate inventory handling. Support the organisation of stock and maintain tidy and efficient stores, goods in, despatch and general work areas. Daily checks on all delivery vehicles reporting any vehicle defects or accidents promptly. Provide general assistance throughout the warehouse and maintain high standards of housekeeping in all work areas.

Requirements



Full, clean UK driving licence - Category B - essential. Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence - desirable - training will be provided. Well presented with good English language communication skills, both written and oral as you will be representing the company through your role as our delivery driver. IT Literate with basic computer and Office 365 skills Previous experience in a delivery or stores/warehouse role preferred. Good understanding of safe lifting and loading practices. Reliable, flexible, and able to work with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality. Have a strong focus on achieving success at a personal and team level.

Working Hours & Pay



25 hours per week - Mon - Fri Flexibility of hours required to cover delivery runs to meet client requirements Starting pay 12.21 upwards depending on skill & experience
