Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle heavy lifting as necessary.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring items are secured and protected during transit. Plan efficient delivery routes to maximise productivity and minimise delays. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and logs. Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations during loading and unloading processes.

Skills

Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Familiarity with driving regulations is advantageous. Experience in commercial driving is preferred, with a valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record. Background in warehouse operations is beneficial, particularly in relation to logistics and inventory management. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading tasks. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
