We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service. Duties
Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures.
Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers upon completion of each delivery.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays.
Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs and reports.
Assist in warehouse activities when not on delivery routes, including stock organisation and inventory management.
Experience
Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or similar role within logistics or warehouse environments.
Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or lorries is preferred.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and heavy lifting procedures is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Ability to handle physical tasks involving heavy lifting safely and efficiently. This position requires a dedicated individual capable of managing multiple deliveries daily while maintaining excellent customer service standards. The ideal candidate will be organised, punctual, and committed to safety at all times.
