We are looking for a reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. Reporting to the Shipping and Transport Manager, you will be responsible for making deliveries to customers across London and the surrounding areas in a professional, friendly, and timely manner using a company van.

As a Delivery Driver, you will be entrusted with the safe operation of the company vehicle, ensuring it is well-maintained, clean, and tidy. You will log fuel usage and track deliveries and collections through a mobile device, ensuring accurate records, including customer signatures and photos for POD. Representing VCE to customers, you must always demonstrate excellent customer service and project professionalism.

The ideal candidate will be motivated and eager to grow with the company. Flexibility is essential as you will need to adapt to changing workloads and meet tight deadlines. On quieter days, you may be asked to assist with light warehouse duties as needed.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Please note our availability for interview is between 9:00AM - 5:30PM)

Responsibilities

Complete timely and accurate deliveries to customers across London and the surrounding areas, always ensuring excellent service.

Carrying out daily vehicle checks and logging

Maintain a clean, tidy, and roadworthy vehicle, including topping up fluids, monitoring tyre pressures, and carrying out regular washing and upkeep.

Fuel logging

Heavy lifting - Manual Handling, such as loading up the van with deliveries

Handling good safely - Loading and unloading the van and securing items to prevent damage in transit.

Requirements:

Full UK driving licence (Essential) with no points (Desirable)

Experience in a similar role (Essential)

Due to insurance requirements, the successful applicant must be 21 or older. (Essential

Excellent numeracy and literacy skills

Attention to detail

Team player

Communication skills

Ability to prioritise own workload

Minimum secondary education level

Desire to be part of the growing success of the business
