Job Description

Due to a forthcoming retirement, family run wine merchants based in Witham, Essex are looking for a part time (3 days per week - Tuesday - Thursday) experienced and reliable van driver and warehouse operative, to carry out multi drop deliveries throughout Essex/Suffolk/Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire and into London. The role will also involve picking orders, general warehouse duties; fork lift experience an advantage

Permanent position - 3 days per week - Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday - Medium wheel based van provided.

Tasks would involve:

Multiple drop deliveries around Essex, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and into London Unload vehicles and take goods to stores as requested by customers Ensuring all goods are signed for and paper work in order Picking and preparing orders in warehouse Unloading deliveries into warehouse - fork lift driving Tidying warehouse, rotation of stock
Skills needed

The applicant is required to be a minimum age of 25 for vehicle insurance purposes Experienced driver of multi drop deliveries Full clean UK driving licence Accurate in completion of paperwork Friendly disposition who enjoys dealing with customers Experience of manual lifting Trustworthy and reliable Able to work on own initiative and plan routes effectively Happy to work as part of a team and help out wherever required Experience of fork lift driving an advantage
Additional information

The role will be physically demanding and the successful applicant must be capable of working well in a close knit team and have good spoken and written English Language skills, as well as being numerate. This is a rewarding, challenging and enjoyable role for the right person who enjoys being part of a small team. As the driver for a small company, you will see customers on a weekly basis and need to be well presented, organised, confident and personable.

Good rate of pay dependent on experience, uniform provided.
