We are currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative/Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team at our Enfield warehouse. Responsibilities
Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring accurate handling of materials.
Manage stock levels using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory efficiently.
Perform picking and packing duties with attention to detail to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately.
Efficiently deliver products within Enfield and surrounding areas.
Conduct regular stock checks and assist in maintaining an organised warehouse layout.
Operate forklifts and other machinery safely while adhering to company policies.
Assist in building pallets and preparing shipments for dispatch.
Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety.
Positive attitude and willingness to work and learn new things.
Timely and effective performance of tasks
Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve warehouse processes.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Capable of working under pressure.
Professional telephone manner.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
Must possess a Full (Manual) UK or EU Driving License with at least one year of experience, free of points or endorsements.
Familiarity with warehouse management software is advantageous.
Strong mechanical knowledge for operating equipment effectively.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently throughout the shift.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail in stock management.
A valid forklift licence is desirable; training may be provided for the right candidate.
Prior experience in sales of fasteners and fixings is beneficial but not required.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
