Department head with ownership of Dispatch and Transport and Assembly Team
Accountability for goods out readiness, delivery performance and in home assembly service
Responsibility for communication standards and performance across the department
Continuous improvement of service, reliability and efficiency
This is a senior management role. It requires clear leadership, great communication and be comfortable with accountability.
Hours 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Flexibility required to be available to driver network.

Key responsibilities
Overall responsibility for the Dispatch function, ensuring accurate, efficient and timely goods out
Overall responsibility for the Transport and Assembly teams, covering routing, vehicles, drivers and on site assembly
Ownership of transport planning and capacity management using MaxOptra
Accountability for on time, in full delivery and quality of in home assembly
Leadership, development and performance management of all team members within the department
Cross functional coordination with Production, Warehouse and Customer Services to maintain smooth flow and service
Ownership of departmental processes, systems, documentation and build keys
Ownership of compliance, health and safety and departmental KPIs, using data to drive improvement
Skills and experience
Proven experience leading transport, despatch or logistics functions
Essential hands on experience using MaxOptra planning tool
Strong people leadership experience across operational teams
Confident managing performance, behaviour and communication
Strong systems, planning and data capability
Clear, professional and consistent high quality communicator
Strong organisational and numerical skills
Forklift experience is beneficial but training can be provided
