To provide extensive support for Dementia Friendly West Berkshire (DFWB) and lead on dementia awareness and understanding across West Berkshire.
The role consists of marketing and communication, administration and coordination with a view to growing the reach and awareness of Dementia Friendly West Berkshire.
1 Be the single point of contact and lead on the promotion and awareness raising of the DFWB and its projects.
2 Working with the Chair of DFWB to expand the reach of the group, utilising and supporting members.
3 Deliver and execute marketing and communications strategy across all media to support, promote and increase awareness of the DFWB and its work.
4 Develop and keep a wide range of stakeholders up to date and positive about supporting DFWB.
5 Keep up to date and target different communities, neighbourhoods and streets to develop and introduce tools to increase awareness and knowledge of DFWB.
6 Provide oversight and support for local dementia community initiatives such as Memory Cafes and social activities . To encourage the development of more community initiatives and attend where appropriate.
7 Gather knowledge and information to ensure that a robust database, the website and the directory is kept of local dementia friendly activities and events
8 Prepare agenda, papers and update actions for DFWB and Steering Group meetings.
9 Coordinate and deliver the Dementia Friends programme across West Berkshire.
10 To collect data and provide information that will be used to demonstrate the achievement of milestones, and inform the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of
the programme.
11 To prepare reports and updates to the funder as required, including outputs, outcomes and impact.
12 Liaise and work with partners collaboratively, ensuring opportunities for DFWB are maximised.
13 To carry out other duties commensurate with the tasks and within the competence of the postholder.
