We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Demolition Supervisor to oversee and coordinate demolition projects across various construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction trades and demonstrate excellent leadership skills to manage teams effectively. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex demolition operations while ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to project specifications.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all aspects of demolition activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope.
Plan and organise demolition schedules, allocating resources and personnel accordingly.
Oversee the safe operation of hand tools, power tools, and specialised machinery used during demolition works.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to communicate project progress and resolve any issues promptly.
Manage a team of skilled workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Maintain accurate documentation of work activities, safety reports, and project updates.
Coordinate with other trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical works, fabrication, and painting to facilitate seamless project execution.
Skills
Proven experience in demolition supervision or a related construction role.
Strong knowledge of construction trades including carpentry, roofing, masonry, welding, electrical systems, plumbing, fabrication, and painting.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in demolition operations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise tasks effectively.
Leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams safely and efficiently.
Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
Familiarity with health & safety regulations relevant to demolition sites. This role is vital for ensuring that demolition projects are executed safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality across all trades involved.
