We are seeking an organised Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the practice, maintaining high standards of patient care, and managing a team of staff. Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of dental practice staff, including receptionists, dental nurses, and administrative personnel
Oversee financial management tasks such as budgeting, billing, and financial reporting
Manage human resources functions including recruitment, training, performance appraisals, and staff development
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, infection control protocols, and industry standards
Implement practice policies and procedures to optimise operational efficiency
Maintain excellent patient relations by ensuring high standards of customer service and care
Organise appointment scheduling to maximise patient throughput while minimising waiting times
Monitor stock levels and order supplies as necessary
Liaise with external suppliers, insurance companies, and other healthcare providers
Experience
GDC registered dental nurse qualification
Proven supervising experience within a dental setting is preferred but not essential
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
Strong management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Experience in financial management including budgeting and cost control
Knowledge of human resources practices relevant to healthcare environments
Previous healthcare management experience is advantageous but not mandatory
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional approach to client service
