As a small, dynamic team, we combine clinical excellence with a warm, inviting environment. We are now seeking a high-energy, experienced Practice Manager to lead our practice operations and help take our growth to the next level.
The Role
You will be the heartbeat of the practice -- a natural leader who can manage all aspects of a busy, privately-run cosmetic dental clinic, while also being hands-on and comfortable stepping into reception duties when needed. Key responsibilities include:
Oversee day-to-day operations: staff management, scheduling, workflows, patient journey, clinic environment
Provide leadership, mentoring and direction for the team (clinical, hygienist/therapist, reception)
Ensure compliance with all relevant dental regulations, health & safety, CQC-related requirements and best practices
Support financial performance: budgeting, monitoring KPIs, profitability, cost control and growth opportunities
Drive patient experience excellence and retention, ensuring our service matches our premium positioning
Help shape marketing, new patient acquisition and upselling cosmetic treatments in collaboration with the clinical team
Undertake reception/front-of-house duties as required (e.g., occasional cover, patient queries, treatment coordination)
Work closely with the Principal Dentist to develop strategy, growth plans and implement change effectively.
Who You Are
Proven experience as a Practice Manager in a private dental practice (essential)
Good knowledge of dentistry (clinical workflows, terminology, treatment types, cosmetic dentistry) -- allowing you to speak confidently with clinicians, hygienists and patients
A natural leader: you excel at motivating, developing and inspiring your team, setting high standards and driving positive culture
Highly organised, with strong administrative, financial, HR and operational abilities
Excellent communication skills -- both with patients and team members
Comfortable working in a small team environment, adaptable and hands-on when needed
Enthusiastic about private and cosmetic dentistry, growth-oriented and driven to deliver premium-level service
Ideally familiar with dental practice management software and commercial performance metrics.
