Practice Manager

to lead both the clinical and non-clinical operations of our practice and support the continued growth of our team.

Your Role



As our Practice Manager, you will oversee all aspects of daily practice operations, ensuring both the clinical and administrative sides run smoothly and efficiently. You'll work closely with the Principal Dentist and senior team to deliver an exceptional patient journey and uphold the highest standards of care, compliance and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and manage all clinical and non-clinical functions of the practice, including administration, finance, HR, compliance, facilities and patient care Support the clinical team in ensuring surgeries run efficiently, treatment rooms are fully prepared, and all clinical processes align with CQC standards Manage the front desk and administrative teams, ensuring exceptional communication, organisation and professionalism Develop and implement practice policies, procedures and systems to ensure consistent high standards and operational efficiency Manage budgets, profit & loss and oversee financial performance to meet business goals Directly supervise and develop team members, including nurses, hygienists, therapists, reception staff and administrators Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, including CQC health & safety, data protection and safeguarding Ensure all equipment, materials, and supplies are properly maintained, ordered, and managed Oversee the full patient experience, ensuring timely appointments, smooth scheduling and a five-star patient journey from first contact to aftercare Provide management reports, metrics and performance insights to the leadership team Support practice growth through marketing initiatives, patient retention strategies and business development planning

What We're Looking For



Proven management experience in a dental or healthcare setting with both clinical and non-clinical oversight A track record of strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage and develop a multidisciplinary team Excellent financial and organisational skills with experience managing budgets and delivering targets Sound understanding of CQC standards, infection control protocols and governance requirements Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills High level of professionalism, attention to detail and problem-solving ability Proactive, adaptable and confident in a fast-paced environment Experience with practice management software (Dentrix Ascend or similar) preferred
