Job Description

Hello, we are tooth, one of London's leading independent dental practice groups, with two branches located in Waterloo, London SE1. We are fully private with a general dental practice and a separate specialist dental practice. We are an ethical practice who's primary goal is delivering excellent service and treatments to our amazing patients.

We are now looking for a new experienced Practice Manager to not only run the day to day operations of the business, but also work closely with the Director to grow and develop the business.

The role is an essential part of our business - ensuring that we deliver an effective and well run business in order to deliver exceptional patient care and treatments every time, and to motivate and manage front of house and clinical team leads to create more space for Directors to focus on strategic and clinical growth.

You'll be the right-hand person for the Director, dealing with a variety of administrative and managerial tasks, and will be an integral part of the team. You will be someone who cares passionately about running a smooth, professional and successful business, focused on ethical growth and maximising opportunities for the business to grow in size, quality and margin.

You'll play a critical part in our continued success and a critical part in our future growth as a brand.

You must be very intelligent, quick to learn, with a strong initiative, and someone that is used to and experienced in business with good numeracy and excellent written and verbal skills in English

. As a real self-starter, you'll be able to work within current frameworks and develop your own workstreams to help the practice run smoothly and to grow, without any compromise to patient care and customer service.

You must have strong and demonstrated initiative and a sound and solid understanding of dental practices in the private sector, ideally within London, and be comfortable with getting hands on as and when required, which will be often. You will need to be comfortable using both initiative and experience to strengthen the practice,

and

to take instruction as required and know when to challenge and when to listen.

You must be good with numbers, budgets, spreadsheets (Excel) and analysing reports, and have ideally have experience in business marketing and development, ideally digital/social media and associated content creation.

Exceptional customer service is a key aspect of tooth and as such all of the team, must be professional, well presented, courteous, friendly and polite to other team members and patients at all times.

At least 2 years of UK Dental Practice Management experience in the UK, preferably in the private dental sector. Fluency in English (spoken and written) and excellent communications skills - native, native equivalent or IELTS 7, C1 or above. Excellent presentation, reliability and punctuality Proven customer service skills and experience Ability to work well individually or in a team Excellent attention to detail Good understanding of basic principles of numbers and data and be confident and comfortable with working in these areas along with Excel and internal reports Strong, proven leadership skills Quick to learn Excellent organisational and planning skills Able to prioritise, find solutions and get hands on when required Ability to manage rotas and staff systems Ability to use initiative whilst being hard working and reliable Flexible and Adaptable Ability to effectively multi-task and work well under pressure Ability to follow instructions from senior team members Excellent IT skills and experience of all major Microsoft Packages

Additionally, we would prefer if you had:



Degree in relevant subject (e.g. Business, Management, Finance, Operations) or similar Additional language skills Formal people management skills Experience with managing and creating social media content Proven track record of proactively helping to develop and grow a business Additional dental experience (eg nurse, reception), prior to your management experience
