Job Summary



We are seeking a highly organised and experienced

Practice Manager

to oversee the daily operations of our dental clinic. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role within the team, ensuring the smooth running of the practice, supporting staff, maintaining compliance, and upholding our high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities



As our Practice Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Practice Operations

Manage all aspects of the clinic's day-to-day running, including scheduling, patient flow, and reception operations Oversee stock control, supplier relationships, and ordering processes to ensure smooth operation Develop and implement efficient systems, policies, and procedures to maintain excellent standards of care and service

Team Leadership

Supervise, motivate, and support all members of the team, ensuring they have the skills and resources they need Manage rotas, holidays, and performance reviews Foster a positive and professional work culture that encourages teamwork and growth

Financial Management

Take responsibility for budgeting, billing, payroll, and financial reporting Monitor income and expenditure to help drive the practice's financial performance Identify opportunities for growth and efficiency

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Maintain full compliance with all relevant regulations and standards (CQC, GDC, GDPR, Health & Safety) Keep accurate and up-to-date practice documentation and audit records Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for both patients and staff

Patient Experience

Deliver an exceptional level of patient service and ensure every patient feels valued and well cared for Handle any patient feedback or concerns professionally and promptly Work closely with clinicians to continually improve the patient journey

Practice Development

Collaborate with the Principal Dentist to identify opportunities for growth and improvement Contribute ideas for marketing, community engagement, and enhancing the patient experience

About You



We're looking for someone who brings both experience and heart to the role.

You'll be an approachable, confident professional who thrives in a busy, people-focused environment and enjoys working as part of a small, supportive team.

Essential skills and experience:



Previous experience in dental practice management (or a similar healthcare management role) Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, invoicing, and reporting Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities Strong understanding of CQC, GDC, and GDPR requirements Proven ability to lead and motivate a team Confident communicator with great interpersonal skills Proficiency in dental software systems (e.g. SOE, Dentally, or EXACT) and Microsoft Office
