We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant and dynamic team at Saxon Dental Care in Hereford providing NHS care. The practice operates three surgeries and provides high-quality care to a large patient base. The ideal candidate will be friendly, professional, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a smooth reception experience for patients and a seamless flow of operations for the dental team.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Manage patient appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling and minimal waiting times.
Answer phone calls and handle patient queries, providing information on treatments, services, and appointments.
Complete patient registrations and medical histories electronically using iSmile Dental software. Training can be provided on use of this software.
Ensure patient forms (including medical history forms) are completed and signed using tablets and electronic systems.
Process patient payments, issue receipts, and manage financial transactions.
Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure smooth operations between surgeries and reception.
Liaise with dental practitioners and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
Maintain a clean and organised reception area, ensuring it is welcoming and comfortable for patients.
Ensure compliance with NHS guidelines and dental practice policies, including data protection regulations.
Key Skills and Experience:
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred but not essential.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
Familiarity with iSmile Dental software is advantageous, but training will be provided.
A professional and friendly attitude with a strong focus on patient care.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required.
