We are seeking a professional and organised Dental Receptionist to join our friendly dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a welcoming environment where attention to detail and effective communication are highly valued. Prior office or administrative experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
Manage appointment scheduling and cancellations efficiently
Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing payments
Ensure the reception area remains tidy and welcoming
Assist with patient correspondence, including sending reminders and follow-up communications
Support the dental team with various administrative duties to ensure smooth practice operations
Skills
Previous office experience or administrative experience is desirable
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficient in using standard office software programmes (e.g., MS Office)
Friendly, professional demeanour with a customer-focused approach
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment
