An exciting opportunity has arisen for a warm, organised and people-focused receptionist to join our fully private dental practice in Sutton.
We provide a wide range of treatments, from general dentistry to implants and sedation. As a nervous patient practice, we're looking for someone calm, caring, and able to put people at ease from the moment they walk through the door. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth daily operations. Previous experience in a similar role preferable, and as we use Dentally software, knowledge of this would be an advantage but not essential
Responsibilities
Greeting patients in a friendly and warm manner
Checking patients in and out; booking, confirming and amending appointments
Updating patient records
Processing patient payments and managing billing procedures
Handling incoming calls and email communication, responding to enquiries and directing as required
Maintaining accurate patient records and updating information in the practice management system
Assisting the Head Receptionist and the Practice Manager with administrative tasks and clerical duties
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the reception area and waiting room
Requirements
Previous experience in a similar role or relevant office or administrative experience highly desirable
Ability to multitask effectively, with excellent organisational skills, positive attitude and attention to detail essential
Proficient use of Microsoft software applications highly desirable
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a warm, professional manner with a customer-focused approach essential
Experience with Dentally software an advantage
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
Hours
This is a part-time position across three days:
Monday: 9am - 3pm
Wednesday: 9am - 6pm (occasionally 10am - 7pm)
Friday: 9am - 3pm
Some flexibility is advantageous
No weekend work required
Start Date
Position is required to start January 2026 but can be delayed for the right candidate
