Job Description

We are currently looking for the right person to join our team at our busy, friendly and well established dental practice based in Bayston Hill, Shrewsbury.

You will need to be highly motivated and hard working with excellent communication skills and share our high values for patient care. It is extremely important you are able to work in a team.

Receptionist Roles and responsibilities include :-

Meeting and greeting patients, providing a great first impression. Booking and amending appointments, answering the phone, updating patient records. Supporting the Practice Manager and clinical team with the smooth running of the practice. Handling payments. Assessing sensitive information whilst maintaining patient confidentiality. Be confident using computers including word, excel and scanning documents
Successful candidate will receive full training and support and must have excellent team work skills

Experience:
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus but not necessary.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Also, you will be enrolled onto an accredited apprentice training course in the future to ultimately enable you to become a Qualified Dental Nurse, which will lead onto a professional registration with the GDC.

Your Dental Nurse Responsibilities and duties will include :-

Clinical chairside assistance to the Dentist/Hygienist ensuring that the correct equipment and materials are available. Maintain the cleanliness of your surgery and to ensure that all equipment and instruments are sterilised/disinfected. To maintain and ensure that the practice cross Infection, operational guidelines and Health and Safety protocols are adhered to at all times. Ensure adequate stocks of materials, PPE and other items within your surgery. Accurately complete patient clinical records during their appointment. Ensure the completion of all Clinical Logs.
The Apprenticeship course will include:-

On the job training. Online learning. Face to Face training sessions with your Assessor. Completion of your Smart Assessor portfolio.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Expected hours: 30.25 per week

Monday to Friday No weekends
