We are currently recruiting for an experienced GDC registered

Prosthetics Dental Technician

We are looking to employ a dedicated and experienced technician used to producing Prosthetics restorations, you need to be proactive and keen to develop your already excellent skills.

You will have the ability to work and display your dental artistry at the highest level alongside a small friendly team, within a modern and bespoke laboratory set in the stunning West Sussex countryside.

You will be hard working, flexible and organised with an eye for exceptional detail and with previous experience working in a Dental Laboratory. You will need to have good spoken English and a keen desire to progress and learn.

Prosthetics Dental Technician



To maintain and improve patients' oral health by fabricating fixed and removable prostheses according to dentists prescriptions

Typical work activities

The role varies according to the needs of the business, but activities typically include:

Replace partial or total loss of natural teeth by constructing partial or full dentures (metal and non-metal) and all stages involved including bites and special trays, wax try ins, and re-trys if required.
Read prescriptions and specifications and examine models or impressions to determine the design of dental products to be constructed

Some Plaster work and flasking

Carry out next day repairs, relines and additions as required

Complete patient direct repairs

Construct restorations following the dentist's prescription

Polish and finish appliances

Produce mouthguards, bleaching trays, Essix retainers, splints etc. as per prescriptions

Document actions by completing relevant forms, reports, logs, and records

Communication with Clients as required

Clean down and management of laboratory equipment and resources

Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes and implementing changes

Update job knowledge and skills by participating in educational opportunities

Complete CPD and maintain a record of all accredited hours and certificates for review

Any other duties appropriate to the post and the needs of the Business

Skills/Qualifications

Essential

GDC Registration Previous experience within a private dental laboratory Relevant professional qualifications Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines Good practical skills and a steady hand Attention to detail An understanding of and commitment to continuous improvement A positive, "can do" attitude and flexible approach An understanding and commitment to equal opportunities, non-discrimination and accessibility Ability to work effectively as part of a team A commitment to the aims and values of Bosham Dental Laboratory
Desirable

Educated to degree level in dental technology Artistic flair
