Duties
Assist dental practitioners during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Support the preparation and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation, including patient records and treatment notes, following HIPAA regulations.
Provide patient care by offering pre- and post-treatment instructions, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally.
Learn and apply medical terminology relevant to dental practice to facilitate effective communication within the team.
Help manage medical records systematically, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection policies.
Support the administration of patient care activities, including taking vital signs and assisting with infection control protocols.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic operations while adhering to established protocols for anatomy, physiology, and medical documentation.
Qualifications
Strong interest in pursuing a career in dental nursing or healthcare with a focus on patient care.
Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology is desirable but not essential; willingness to learn is required.
