Job Description

Power Logistics has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Assistant to join our dynamic Engineering Department. You will assist Electricians with various maintenance and testing tasks, ensuring all of Power Logistics' electrical assets are suitably maintained to support our vast project portfolio. Some notable examples of the UK's largest festivals and sporting events that Power Logistics' has been involved with include: Olympic and Commonwealth Games Ceremonies; Extreme E; BST Hyde Park; multiple stadium concerts and large national events such as The Platinum Jubilee and The Coronation.

By the very nature of the Events, Entertainment & Temporary Power Industry, this position is in a fast-paced environment meaning equipment must be suitably maintained to meet strict deadlines and to a very high standard.

Key responsibilities:



Working with our in-house teams you will have a responsibility and play a pivotal role day-to-day in:

Upholding and adhering to company health & safety practices.

Adhering to PUWER and COSHH regulations .

Safe and practical manual handling of Power Logistics' equipment.

Assisting with the testing and inspecting of all Power Logistics Electrical assets such as cable and distribution equipment in compliance with relevant industry standards.

Assisting with the repair and manufacture of Electrical assets to meet deadlines and project requirements to a high standard.

Assist with checking equipment in and out of the electrical workshop using the stock management system.

Monitor consumable and spare part stock levels relevant to your role.

Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.

About You:



Essential



Previous experience working within the electrical industry.

Right to work within the UK.

Full clean driving licence.

Commitment and willingness to learn and to improve.

A team player that is also self-motivated.

Able to work quickly and accurately to deadlines.

Strong communicator who is calm and can deliver under pressure.

Awareness of environmental impact.

An eye for safety, detail and consistency.

Desirable



Level 2 or 3 qualified such as NVQ, EAL, C&G or equivalent.

B1 counterbalance forklift licence.

JET - 2377 ('PAT' testing) In-service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment (ISITEE) or equivalent.
