Depot Operative

Role Overview

You will assist the depot supervisor to ensure the depot is run efficiently and provides a first-class service to customers and business alike.

Role/Responsibilities

o Be expected to carry out all manual duties in the depot including the washing and repairing of stock, damage repairs

o Ensure that vehicles are loaded and unloaded accurately, safely and on time. All relevant despatch notes/ tickets are completed and signed.

o Ensure depot is kept in a clean, safe, and tidy manner.

o The completion of any relevant checks and related administration when using equipment including FLTs and reporting defects if necessary.

o Ensure the relevant PPE is worn at all times

o Assist in the recording of recording stock movements in/out of depot and help complete daily counts if required

o You will comply with current H&S legislation and Company specific health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.

o You will be responsible, if required, for ensuring that all Company vehicles under your responsibility are driven safely, professionally and within the law at all times.

o As an employee of Davis Trackhire, you will be well presented, communicate professionally with any visitors on site and promote the positive image of the business.

Be prepared to travel to various sites/offices, which may include long journeys and occasionally be prepared to stay away from home. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated within the company.

Skills Required

o It is essential that you have good communication skills with the ability to influence and represent the Company in a positive manner.

o Must be physically fit.

o fully competent driver with a clean driving licence.

o Numeracy

o Basic understanding of fabrication works and tools.

o Reliable and punctual

o Eagerness to learn.

o Good attention to detail and not afraid to ask when unsure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 26,000.00 per year
