Everbridge is thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a highly experienced and qualified Deputy Chief Medical Officer to join our team in Christchurch, UK. This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid or remote work setup, with occasional office attendance as needed. The commitment for this position is 30 hours per week.

As the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and supported by the Senior Management Team and the Assistance Team, you will play a crucial role in developing, delivering, and overseeing all clinical activities, including medical regulatory registrations, clinical governance and quality improvement, and inspection preparations.

What you\'ll do:

  • Take accountability for all clinical governance activities, providing quarterly reports to the Chief Medical Officer.
  • Ensure that clinical governance structures, processes, and activities meet medical regulatory standards.
  • Foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and ambassadorial skills, prioritization abilities, and effective performance management.
  • Contribute to the leadership and development of the clinical team and clinical services/products.
  • Implement good medical knowledge into clinical practice.
  • Oversee major medical cases and provide guidance to the clinical team in effective case management.
  • Lead in providing medical opinion to the business and clients.
  • Participate in performance reviews of doctors and clinical managers.
  • Engage in continuous professional development aligned with the role\'s requirements.
  • Support the medical aspect of business development activities through proposal team involvement and client interactions.
  • Review proposals and contracts from a medical perspective.
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility for all clinical activities.
  • Oversee the management of disputes or complaints related to medical issues.
  • Participate in on-call duties.
what you\'ll bring:
  • Substantial experience in healthcare leadership with effective team management and development skills.
  • Previous experience in occupational medicine.
  • Previous experience in travel medicine/medical assistance.
  • Experience in overseas healthcare systems is preferred.
  • Significant experience in the corporate medical environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex medical concepts to non-medical audiences.
  • Strong decision-making abilities, balancing commercial and clinical considerations.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
