Deputy Children's Home Manager(ebd)

Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit a Deputy Manager on a full-time basis working 40 hours per week for our children's home based in Ilford.



Shift Patterns: 8:00am to 4:00pm and 12:00-8:00 pm



Alternate weekends(either Saturday or Sunday)



Key Responsibilities



Ensure that the rights of the young people are upheld and promoted at all times in accordance with the principles of choice, respect, dignity and privacy.

Ensure that all issues relating to the safeguarding of vulnerable children and/or adults are reported according to policies and procedures and in accordance with the safeguarding policy.

Ensure that if there are significant changes to individual service users' needs these are raised with the Service Manager.

Ensure that all records are maintained in accordance with Heartwood Care's policies and procedures.

Conduct formal key work sessions with allocated young people and produce detailed reports for each session.

Promote young people's involvement in all areas including service delivery, quality assurance and organisational development.

Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with both internal colleagues and external bodies alike.

The Ideal candidate will be:



NVQ Qualified (Minimum Level 3) in a social care related subject.

. Children's Residential Care experience (2 Years)

. Understanding of OFSTED Regulations and compliance Requirements

Able to demonstrate an understanding of social emotional and behavioural difficulties and how these may impact the lives of the young people that we support.
