Purpose of the Job
As Deputy Events Coordinator, you will support the planning and operations of events under the direction of the Events Ops Coordinator. You will assist in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of activities, staffing, and customer experiences throughout seasonal periods.
Contracted Hours & Working Periods
This role operates on an annualised hours contract, meaning working hours vary across the year in line with key event periods. The contracted hours are spread across the following operational periods:
Summer Opening
01st July - 1st September 2025
5 days per week, 09:00 - 18:00
Pumpkin Patch (
Weekends)
1st -28 th September, Event Build Up
3th - 4th October, 9th - 11th October
16th - 18th October,
22nd - 31st October
09:00 - 21:30. .
Key Responsibilities
Assist in overseeing seasonal and event staffing, ensuring all activities are appropriately timed, communicated, and clicker counted.
Support the coordination of event logistics, ensuring areas are appropriately staffed and resourced each day
Assist with issuing and recording of event uniforms, radios, clickers, and other necessary equipment.
Maintain a visible presence on-site, assisting staff and providing customer service as needed.
Collect and compile feedback data for review after each event period.
Other Duties
Provide administrative assistance for customer service and operational meetings (including note-taking).
Assist in organising social events for staff.
Support the investigation of event-related incidents and first aid incidents.
Health and Safety Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to Health & Safety procedures and COSHH regulations regarding equipment, materials, and general safety.
Help monitor staff compliance with policies and procedures.
Assist with updates and improvements to operational procedures and risk assessments.
Support routine risk assessments, accident reports, and incident management procedures.
Act as an appointed First Aider when required.
Quality Standards & People Management
Ensure staff are informed about event schedules.
Help ensure staff adhere to uniform and appearance standards.
Support recruitment, inductions, and training of seasonal staff.
Assist in maintaining staff performance and engagement during events.

This role is a seasonal position and may vary in responsibilities based on operational needs. The Deputy Events Coordinator will support the Events Coordinator to ensure events run efficiently and customer experiences are of the highest standard.
