The Role



Our prevention services include providing diversionary activities, informal learning opportunities and information and guidance delivered through open access community based and detached youth work, play sessions, and centre-based provision. The support we offer ensures that young people are better informed about life choices and the opportunities available to them as well as having the opportunity to improve their social and emotional capabilities.

You will be responsible for managing Team Leaders across a number of geographic areas (initially Winchester, Basingstoke and Totton). The role will also include working across all prevention services supporting the Head of Prevention Services to

ensure quality, develop new and existing services, evidence impact and develop the staff team.

This role requires a confident, creative individual with experience of leading and managing teams, ideally in a youth work setting.

Regular evening and occasional weekend working will be required.

Person Specifications



Qualifications:



Minimum Level 3 qualification in relevant subject (Youth and Community, IAG etc)

Experience:



Working with children and young people including those who are vulnerable or at risk

Planning, developing and delivering effective programmes of work for children and young people.

Leading and managing a team

Working with outside agencies in a positive and professional manner

- Setting and managing budgets

- Setting up new youth work initiatives.

Full time, 37.50 hours per week (other, more flexible hours would be considered)
