Salary: 28-33,000 per annum (Based on 39 hours per week)

Main Purpose of the Role:





The Deputy Housekeeping Manager will assist the Executive Housekeeper in managing the housekeeping team in order to deliver the service level agreements for the timeshare accommodation, hotels and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:




In addition to this management oversight and coordination, the Deputy Housekeeping Manager will be required to:



Co-ordinate cleaning schedules and allocate tasks to the Housekeeping Team. Actively monitor and inspect standards of cleanliness. Train staff to the required standard and provide ongoing coaching. Foster a positive culture of learning, fun, equity, and performance within the team through training, appraisal, and development programmes. Lead-by-example, direct, organise and motivate the teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Manage employee relations efficiently, with support from HR as necessary Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly checklists are completed. Log defects or faults with the maintenance team and ensure follow up action has been taken. Co-ordinate the purchase and stocks of guest and cleaning supplies. Co-ordinate linen and laundry requirements. Manage stocks of inventory as agreed in the service level agreements. Manage payroll inclusive of authorising daily timesheets. Deputise in Executive Managers absence. Maintain positive customer relationships by actively seeking solutions to guest queries and complaints in a manner that both protects the brand and leaves the guest satisfied. Uphold, create, and innovate department standards and operating procedures to positively improve the guest experience. Adhere to the company's Health and Safety procedures and implement those procedures where necessary.

Key skills and attributes:



Proven experience in a similar position. Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to adapt to changing environments. Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style. Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for guest experience and the hospitality industry. Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations. Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time, and energy. Strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading, and writing skills Experience of using IT Systems. An open, positive, and communicative personality.
