Deputy Manager - Young people

Location: Bicton, Shrewsbury

29,600-30,800 + additional 3250 - 6500 per year for sleep in's

39 hours per week working a combination of long days, admin days and sleeps.

Full UK Driving Licence is required

A minimum Level 3 qualification in Children's residential and experience within a Children's home environment is essential

We are looking for a Deputy Manager

to become part of an amazing team, supporting young people to reach their full potential and have positive outcomes, giving them hope for the future.

You would be supporting young people who have emotional and behavioural difficulties in the home and also supporting an intensive 26 week placement on a 2:1 basis in a separate annex. As Deputy Manager, you'll be at the heart of it all--leading by example, setting boundaries, mentoring your team and ensuring every child in our care gets the therapeutic support and structure they need to reach their full potential.

What do you need?

A minimum of 2

years' experience

working within a Residential Children's home.

Minimum NVQ Level 3 or above in Children and Young people

Related knowledge of Ofsted legislation and safeguarding procedures. Highly driven, proactive and enthusiastic. A

strong people manager

with a hands on approach. Experience of budgets and rotas. Full driving licence is essential. You need to be

able to work flexibly

in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
