Mini Explorers Nursery is looking for a passionate, motivated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join our leadership team and help support our warm, caring, and forward-thinking setting in North Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to step into a key leadership role within a high-quality, play-based and outdoor-focused early years environment.
You'll work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and will have shared responsibility for delivering outstanding care and education in line with EYFS and Ofsted standards. You'll lead, inspire, and support our dedicated staff team to deliver the best possible outcomes for children aged 0-5.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the Manager in day-to-day leadership and running of the nursery
Deputise in the Manager's absence, taking full operational responsibility
Lead and mentor staff, identifying training and development needs
Promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors
Oversee curriculum planning, delivery and EYFS tracking
Liaise effectively with parents, carers, and external professionals
Ensure all policies, safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed
Essential Requirements:
Minimum Level 3 Childcare qualification
At least 3 years' experience in an Early Years setting
Minimum 1 year in a leadership/management role
Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
Current Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Prevent Duty, and Child Protection training (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable:
SENCO experience or qualifications
Experience with outdoor/nature-based learning environments
