We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the management of daily operations while ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents. This position requires strong leadership skills, a compassionate approach to care, and the ability to supervise staff effectively.
Duties
Assist in the overall management of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care to residents, including medication administration and personal care.
Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs, promoting their well-being and dignity.
Foster a positive environment for both residents and staff, encouraging teamwork and effective communication.
Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, addressing any concerns promptly.
Provide leadership during shifts, ensuring that all operational tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Engage with families and external stakeholders to promote transparency and collaboration in resident care.
Experience
Proven experience in a management/supervisory role within a care home or similar environment is essential.
Strong background in medication administration and knowledge of care standards in assisted living or nursing homes.
Experience working with individuals with dementia or other complex needs is advantageous.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of resident care are managed effectively.
A compassionate approach to care, demonstrating empathy towards residents and their families.
Qualifications
A minimum of NVQ 3 in Health and Social is required
