About Us

Mini Miracles Montessori is an independent, family-run nursery based in Brentford. We were rated Good by Ofsted in November 2022. We specialise in practicing the EYFS curriculum in conjunction with the Montessori method of teaching. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager, who holds a relevant Early Years qualification, to support our leadership team and help us deliver high-quality early education and care.

As a Deputy Manager, your responsibilities will include the following:

To support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children To take responsibility for the nursery in the absence of the Manager To lead and mentor staff, promoting professional development and maintaining high standards of practice To oversee the planning and delivery of the curriculum using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Montessori approach for guidance To support staff in building strong relationships with children and their families To ensure all safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory requirements are met at all times To assist with recruitment, inductions, supervision, and staff appraisals To monitor children's progress and ensure records are up to date and reflective of their development To liaise effectively with parents/carers and external agencies where necessary To uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

Level 3 or above early years education/childcare qualification At least 2 years' experience in a nursery setting, with experience in a supervisory or senior role Strong knowledge of child development from birth to five years Comprehensive understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures, with relevant training (e.g. DSL preferred) Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
