The Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in food preparation and production, as well as supervising team members to maintain high standards of service.

Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing daily operations within the restaurant environment. Supervise and support staff, ensuring they are trained and motivated to deliver excellent service. Participate in food preparation and production, adhering to health and safety regulations. Help manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, including kitchens and dining spaces. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during service. Collaborate with the management team to implement strategies for improving service quality and efficiency. Assist in scheduling staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred, with a focus on food preparation and production. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and customers professionally. A background in bartending is advantageous but not essential. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs. A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety within the workplace.
