Deputy Manager - Headstart-On-The-Hill Nursery

The Role

As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the nursery. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you will help lead the team, uphold excellent standards of care and learning, and contribute to the overall development and success of the setting.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and EYFS statutory guidance Lead by example and support the ongoing development of nursery staff Contribute to planning, implementing, and reviewing the curriculum Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and carers Help manage safeguarding, health and safety, and staff training Step into the Manager's role in their absence

Candidate Requirements

Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years Childcare and Education Minimum of 2 years' experience in a nursery environment, with leadership experience preferred Strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding, and child development Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills A caring, professional, and proactive attitude Commitment to inclusive practice and continuous professional development
