Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and caring Deputy Nursery Manager to join our well-established nursery in Chester. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior early years professional ready to step into a leadership role and support the delivery of exceptional care and learning.

About the Role:

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth and effective day-to-day running of the setting. You'll be a role model for best practice, support the development of the staff team, and help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Nursery Manager in the overall leadership and management of the nursery Ensure the nursery operates in line with EYFS, Ofsted, and safeguarding requirements Lead and inspire staff to deliver high-quality early years education Oversee planning, observations, and assessments to support individual learning journeys Step into the Manager's role when required, maintaining consistency and high standards Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and external professionals Support with staff development, rotas, health & safety, and administrative tasks

What We're Looking For:

Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 preferred or willingness to work towards) 2 years experience in a senior nursery role such as Room Leader or Third in Charge Level 3 in Maths Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework, Ofsted expectations, and safeguarding procedures Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills A passion for early years education and a commitment to delivering outstanding childcare

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 35,000.00 per year
