A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an energetic and innovative child-centred company as a Deputy Manager
You will be working alongside an experienced leadership team with an emphasis to learn and develop your management journey with support, mentoring and training. Learning the role of a Registered Manager.
You will join our child centered team, working with children using our PACE / DDP and therapeutic parenting model, in a small two bedded home.
Our teams are "professional parents" who are nurturing and supportive. They give our children high levels of care and allow them to achieve amazing outcomes. Our home is small and situated in a calm and tranquil area.
We are looking for someone who is committed, tenacious and passionate who has the ability to connect and build meaningful and productive working relationships. Ensuring the safety and well-being underpins every decision we make.
Willing to work towards QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management, if not already achieved.
Responsibilities
Working along side the Registered Manager to help ensure that the home meets high standards and remains an amazing family environment.
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, making sure child care is of the highest quality.
Supervision of the team, developing, leading and inspiring the team and practice.
You will manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.
Be part of a on call rota.
Skills
Strong staff management and leadership skills.
At least one year childrens social care experience.
An ability to communicate effectively on all levels.
Strong familiarity in working towards Ofsted standards and outcomes.
A Level 3/ 4 diploma in children and young people ( or equivalent)
A Driving License is essential.
Must be willing to work towards a level 5 diploma in leadership and management funded by the organisation.
Salary Up to 39,000 including sleep ins, depending on experience and qualifications. You will work shift work including weekends and bank holidays.
