To support children and young people with special needs and learning disabilities including developmental delay, autism and other complex conditions, to live independently and have fulfilling experiences in the home and community life.
Additionally, to work with the management team, the Deputy Manager will be required to contribute to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practices, to ensure the smooth implementation of service delivery.
Job Purpose
To ensure that PCC's aims, and objectives are adhered to by a commitment to achieve the outcomes for children and young people in accordance with the Guide to the Quality Standards April 2015, Children Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and following the guidance of The Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF) 2018.
Therefore, Deputy Managers will be expected to carry-out the day to day operations of the home. This will include; Health & Safety checks of the home, coordinating activities for all children and young people with complex needs, within the placement, keeping wishes and feelings records for each child and young person in the placement up to date, medication records, first aid and weekly dietary menus, education, well-being and emotional support.
Additionally, under supervision and support of the Registered Manager. The Deputy Manager will efficiently support in managing the day to day running of the business. Manage all aspects of the staff team and provide sound leadership, to ensure staff are clear about their respective duties and responsibilities and have the support they need to carry out their roles safely.
The Deputy Manager will also have a designated specialist role within your duties to maximise positive outcomes for all children and young people in the day to day running of the home.

Deputy Manager must maintain a professional relationship in partnership with parents/career, colleagues, childcare professionals and stakeholders.
Deputy Manager may also be required to undertake other duties within their capabilities; this will include but is not limited to light domestic duties where the need arises.
An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is required for this role.
