Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our young persons residential home.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in young persons care, with a focus on challenging behaviour.

As the Deputy Manager, you will support the overall management of the service, ensuring that young people receive the highest standard of care while fostering a positive environment for both staff and residents.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory OFSTED standards and best practices. Supervise and lead a team of staff whilst on shift, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care delivery. Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking and cleaning. Foster a supportive environment for young people and their families, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly. Promote, monitor and maintain a safe environment at all times.

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare Willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Young People's services. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and help supervise a diverse team. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with young people, families, and staff. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge and experience of working with OFSTED regulations and Quality Standards of Children's homes
