At Plus One, we're looking for a Deputy Manager who can lead with warmth, patience and consistency. Our young people often face complex experiences and significant life challenges., so we need someone who can respond with empathy, curiosity, and a calm, steady presence - even when their behaviour is testing.
If you have your level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and experience in a children's home, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop as a leader whilst continuing to make a real impact.

What you'll be doing
Supporting the Registered Manager with day-to-day running of the home
Leading, mentoring and inspiring the team
Modelling calm, empathetic, and consistent approaches with both children and staff
Ensuring safeguarding and compliance standards are met
Creating opportunities for young people to feel heard, valued and supported
Helping maintain a warm, stable and homely environment
What we're looking for
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience in a children's residential care setting
Knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation
Ability to lead with compassion, clarity and steadiness
Reflective, patient, and resilient approach
