Minimum 4 years' experience
working in a registered children's home
At least 2 years' experience
as a
Senior Support Worker or Team Leader
Hold a
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
(or equivalent NVQ)
Proven ability to
lead staff teams, manage performance, and maintain professional boundaries
Solid understanding of
Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
Excellent spoken and written English
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role in a 3-bed home supporting young people aged 14-17 with emotional and behavioural needs. You will support the Registered Manager in overseeing shifts, staff practice, and daily operations to ensure excellent standards of care and safeguarding.We are looking for someone who leads with clarity, confidence, and consistency -- a person who can challenge poor practice and support the team to deliver the best outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities
Leading shifts and supervising staff
Upholding safeguarding procedures and quality standards
Managing day-to-day operations and contributing to care planning
Acting as a role model and providing calm, confident responses to challenging behaviour
Promoting positive outcomes and meaningful engagement with young people
