Full-time, permanent 39.5 this would consist of 3x 8 hours and one shift per week

Shared on call with the manager and senior manager - paid up to 100 per weekend.

About the Role



We are seeking a committed and confident

Deputy Manager

to join our dedicated team in providing high-quality care and support for children and young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted standards and provides a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every child can thrive.

This is a brand new Children's Home opening within Stanley Common, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of something special.

We are seeking an individual who is keen to develop to a Registered Manager- who is wanting to be supported by an experienced and supportive leadership team.

Key Responsibilities



Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home and deputise in their absence.

Lead, motivate and develop the staff team to maintain a positive, child-centred culture.

Ensure all care and safeguarding practices meet or exceed statutory requirements and organisational policies.

Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and behavioural support strategies tailored to each child's individual needs.

Promote a trauma-informed approach to care that prioritises stability, consistency, and emotional safety.

Participate in on-call duties as part of the home's management rota.

Maintain accurate records, reports, and quality assurance systems to support continuous improvement.

About You



Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - Level 5 or willingness to work towards it.

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting.

Proven ability to lead a team and act as a positive role model.

Strong understanding of safeguarding, children's rights, and relevant legislation (Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, etc.).

Emotional resilience, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
