We are a dedicated 2 bed children's residential home committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Our mission is to empower each child to achieve their full potential through tailored care and support.
Role Overview:
As Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the development and implementation of care plans and risk assessments.
Leading, mentoring, and supervising a team of residential support workers.
Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
Promoting a safe, therapeutic environment that meets the individual needs of each child.
Liaising with external agencies, families, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive care strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Registered Manager in maintaining high standards of care and safeguarding.
Oversee staff training and development to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
Manage administrative tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
Participate in the on-call rota and provide cover for the Registered Manager as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role within a children's residential setting.
NVQ Level 3/4 in Children and Young People or equivalent; willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma.
Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Full UK driving licence.
