We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, with specific experience in nursing homes and dementia care. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained for our residents.
Responsibilities
Assist the Manager in the overall management of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care to residents, fostering a positive working environment.
Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs, including those requiring Alzheimer's and dementia care.
Oversee medication administration and ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed.
Conduct regular assessments of resident wellbeing and adjust care plans as necessary.
Provide leadership and guidance to the team, promoting professional development and training opportunities.
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
Maintain accurate records of resident care activities and staff performance.
Skills
Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is essential.
Strong background in nursing or senior care, with knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care practices.
Excellent management skills with prior supervising experience preferred.
