Deputy Nursery Manager

We are looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to assist in the smooth running of the nursery and take a lead role with SEND. Duties will include:

Supporting the Nursery Manager and Senior Management Team Inducting, supporting, welcoming and mentoring new staff Facilitating staffing and arranging cover to maintain child to staff ratios Showing prospective parents around the nursery Supporting task groups to improve outcomes for children Observing staff and supporting them in the rooms Organising staff training as and when appropriate Act as Designated Safeguarding officer (training will be offered) Ensuring that the nursery and its team meet all the necessary statutory requirements

The candidate must have:

Minimum level 3 qualification in childcare/Early Years with a view to progressing Excellent knowledge of the EYFS Experience with SEND with training being desirable Experience of coaching and mentoring to deliver high quality care and development The ability to work in a fast paced environment Strong communication skills both verbal and written Enthusiastic, passionate and full of ideas to encourage learning and development A good sense of humour and excellent people skills

Pay: 13.05 per hour
