Deputy Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a 'hands on' Deputy Manager to assist the Landlord with the day to day management of a busy community pub. And to take accountability for the business in the absence of the Landlord.

Although the role comes with some work flexibility the successful candidate must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.

Successful applicants will be a team player, have a friendly disposition, and a natural affinity for people and customers. They will enjoy the 'buzz' of a busy environment, and maintain a cool and calm disposition when working under pressure, whilst maintaining the highest possible standards of food and drink service, and quality.

Ideally applicants should have 2-3 years minimum experience within the hospitality or similar industry, and at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role. They will have some kitchen experience as well as bar service.

Ideally they should hold a valid Personal License to sell alcohol, however training will be provided for the right candidate.

Pay dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Training and development. Cash control. Stock management. Promotions and marketing. Including managing all social media accounts. Booking live acts. Managing customer complaints. Cellar management. Uphold the highest standards of customer service, food quality, and housekeeping. Ensure self and others comply with all Food Hygiene Laws, Health and Safety Laws, Licensing Regulations, and comply with all Marston's and Davco Limited policies and procedures.

Pay: 13.00-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
