Flowering Shrubs Cyncoed is currently looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated Deputy Manager to join our thriving team. The role involves working with our nursery children and providing after- school provision aged 3-12 years.

As part of our team you will have access to Flying Start Training

The successful candidate must

have at least a level 3 childcare qualification OR above to be considered for the position, a minimum of two years experience of working in a childcare setting, with some supervisory experience. An understanding of different pedagogical theorists such as Reggio Emillia and Maria Montessori and their approach to children's learning or a willingness to learn. Be passionate about working with Children and Child development Work closely with the setting leaders to drive the organisation forward.
Job duties and responsibilities

Work effectively as a deputy leading a team. Have excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills Have a passion for life long learning Friendly, nurturing and welcoming. Flexible and reliable. Clean Ehanced DBS Driver Licence - Essential responsibility for open/ close and fully manage the setting as part of the rota with Manager To assist the setting leader in effectively leading the staff team including providing day-to-day guidance, supervision, mentoring and training Working closely with parents /carers to best support children's care and development Liaise with external agencies to assist in obtaining advice, guidance and intervention to support children and their families within the setting

Full-time Hours - Between 8am and 5.30pm, 5 days a week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 40 per week
