Deputy Manager | Elderly Residential Care | Fordingbridge, Hampshire | 32,000 - 35,000


We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established elderly residential care home in Fordingbridge, rated 'Good' in all areas by the CQC. The provider is a small, values-driven care group recognised for its long-standing staff, community atmosphere, and dedication to delivering meaningful, resident-centered care.


This full-time, permanent Deputy Manager role will suit a confident, hands-on care leader with strong knowledge of adult social care, a calm and visible leadership style, and the ability to support both day-to-day care delivery and wider service development.


With a stable Registered Manager in place, the Deputy will act as a key support across staffing, care quality, and documentation, while also serving as a professional liaison between the home and provider. You must be confident working independently, proactively resolving issues, and stepping up where needed to maintain continuity and service standards.


As Deputy Manager, you will:


o Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations and care leadership


Provide oversight of care plans, risk assessments, and medication processes Supervise, mentor, and coach care staff leading by example on shift Monitor documentation, compliance, and quality standards across the home Step in to lead in the absence of the RM and act as a trusted point of contact Work in partnership with professionals, families, and the wider provider team Attend internal and external meetings and share updates as required Contribute to ongoing service improvement, staff development, and team morale Champion a calm, respectful, and resident-led culture at all times What we're looking for:


o NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (minimum) Level 4/5 preferred


Experience as a Senior Carer, Team Leader, or Deputy in elderly residential care Confident knowledge of safeguarding, medication, risk, and quality processes Strong shift leadership skills with the ability to step up when required Able to manage professional boundaries and liaise confidently with providers and external stakeholders Emotionally intelligent, reliable, and proactive Based within commutable distance of Fordingbridge (on-site, not hybrid) In return, you'll receive:
