About the Role
We're partnering with a respected children's residential care provider to recruit a dedicated Deputy Manager for their 4-bed therapeutic home in Grantham. The home supports young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) through a trauma-informed, child-centred approach.
You'll play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager with daily operations, team leadership, and maintaining high standards of care. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a values-led organisation focused on making a real difference in children's lives.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home
Lead shifts and supervise a team of Residential Support Workers
Promote a nurturing, therapeutic environment for young people with complex needs
Ensure safeguarding and regulatory compliance at all times
Assist in rota planning, training delivery, and performance management
Contribute to care planning, reviews, and inspections
Maintain strong working relationships with external professionals and families
Requirements
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership (preferred or willing to work towards)
Minimum 2 years' experience in children's residential care (at least 1 year as a senior)
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks and Quality Standards
Must have permanent right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
Must be 21 or over in line with Ofsted regulations
Shifts & Hours
Shift pattern: 8am-11pm with sleep-in duties
Rota: 1-on-2-off or 2-on-4-off (depending on the week)
Hours: Approx. 173 hours per month
Sleep-ins: Avg. 8 per month (60 per night)
Overtime: Paid at 2.50 per hour above contract
