About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Deputy HR Manager to support the Head of HR in delivering high-quality, day-to-day HR services. This role will manage a wide range of operational and administrative responsibilities while providing expert advice and guidance to managers and employees across our network of UK clinics.
You will play a key role in delivering core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, training, and policy compliance. Alongside overseeing accurate and efficient HR administration, you will contribute to strategic HR projects--particularly those aimed at enhancing our HRIS and streamlining processes.
Key responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all aspects of HR administration, including maintaining accurate training records, updating the HRIS, and ensuring all data is compliant and current.
Advise and support managers on a range of employee relations matters including disciplinary procedures, grievances, and capability cases.
Take ownership of absence reporting, working closely with managers to support employees returning to work and monitoring trends.
Lead and coordinate recruitment activity - from posting job adverts to shortlisting and arranging interviews.
Support the performance management cycle, including probationary reviews and appraisals.
Generate regular HR reports on metrics such as turnover, headcount, absence, and engagement for the leadership team.
Contribute to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives to help build a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Assist with reviewing policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with UK employment legislation.
Act as a deputy to the Head of HR, supporting internal communications and leading on HR project work - particularly initiatives aimed at optimising our HRIS and modernising our practices.

Key Skills & Competencies
CIPD Level 5 (minimum), Level 7 desirable
Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR practice
Experience in HR operations and managing complex ER casework
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Attention to detail, proactive attitude, and ability to multitask
Confident using HRIS systems and MS Office
