Job Description

Are you ready to take the next step in your social care career? We are looking for a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our Older People's Services, supporting the Service Manager in running a high-quality residential, respite and day care service. This is a role where your leadership will make a genuine difference to the lives of the people we support.

What you'll do



As Deputy Manager, you'll work closely with the Service Manager to ensure our service runs smoothly day to day. You will:

Support staff to deliver care to the highest standards Lead and inspire the team, ensuring everyone feels valued and equipped to excel Maintain compliance with health, safety and care regulations Oversee training, supervision and development for your team Manage budgets, rotas, and resources effectively Deputise for the Service Manager when required

This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in everything from care planning to quality improvement. You'll be a role model for good practice, committed to maintaining the dignity, independence and wellbeing of every person we care for.

About you



You will already have significant experience in a social care setting, with a proven track record of leading and developing teams. You will need:

SVQ Level 3 in Social Services or Health Care (essential) Working towards or holding SVQ Level 4 and a Management Qualification in Care Services (desirable) Strong organisational skills and attention to detail The ability to build trusting relationships with residents, families and colleagues A commitment to upholding our Christian ethos

You'll also be comfortable using Microsoft Office and the internet, and you'll be registered with the SSSC (or eligible to register).

As we do our work in Christ's name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.


You will need to undertake necessary vetting checks and apply for a Disclosure Scotland Basic check. You will also be required to adhere to the SSSC Code of Practice.
