Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within ourresidential home.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, including experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care, and possess the leadership skills necessary to supervise and manage staff effectively. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care while supporting the overall operational excellence of the facility.

Responsibilities



Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices. Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and high-quality care. Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for residents, ensuring they meet their specific needs. Provide training and guidance to staff on medication administration, senior care practices, and dementia care techniques. Maintain accurate records of resident care activities and ensure proper documentation is completed. Engage with residents and their families to address concerns and enhance their overall experience within the facility. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate medical services for residents as needed. Participate in management meetings to discuss operational improvements and resident care strategies.

Skills



Proven experience in the same or similar environment Strong knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care principles. Excellent management skills with a track record of supervising teams effectively. Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual resident needs. Proficient in medication administration protocols and best practices. Exceptional leadership qualities, demonstrating the ability to inspire and motivate staff. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on empathy and understanding towards residents and families. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a resident-centred approach. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 17.00-19.00 per hour
